~ 2016 National Night Out ~
3rd Annual Sugar Lakes National Night Out
Sugar Lakes is hosting our third annual community wide, National Night Out Event!! Last year’s event was the talk of the town since the City officials were blown away by our crowd of residents and the food truck! So, plan on coming by and purchasing dinner from the Food Truck, while you tour a fire engine or ambulance or speak with our local Council members. Feel free to walk, bike or ride to the event! Remember parking will be available on Sugar Lakes Drive and Kingfisher Drive as we will close off the Landing parking lot for pedestrian traffic and first responder parking. If you are interested in learning more about the opportunities to serve our community directly, there will be members of the Sugar Lakes HOA Board as well as members of the Committees.
When: Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 6 PM to 8 PM
Where: The Landing at 930 Sugar Lakes Drive
Why: Come on out and meet the firefighters, EMTs, police officers and City Council members who directly serve our community.
Remember to bring your cameras because we will be getting tours of the vehicles! Additionally, we will have members of the HOA Board and Committees available for anyone interested in learning more about joining the group of volunteers who directly serve the Sugar Lakes community. We look forward to seeing you there! National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. 15,728 communities across the nation participated in NNO 2015.

~ Speeding Update ~
Sugar Land Residents,
Due to several traffic complaints directed to the HOA, the Sugar Land Police Department will be increasing traffic enforcement to ensure safe passage in and around the Sugar Lakes Subdivision in the coming weeks.
Officers are diligent in maintaining a safe community and one way of ensuring that is through speed limit enforcement, stop sign adherence and seatbelt enforcement.  So just as a friendly reminder, we encourage you to follow traffic laws as well as remind young drivers in your household to be vigilant of the traffic laws as well.  Together we can make your neighborhood and community a safe place to live.
Thanks for your cooperation and support,
The Sugar Land Police Department
